About the Artist

  • Name: Cynthia Louise Gaub
  • Nicknames: Sheba, Sheba duh kitty
  • Age: 5/25/1967
  • Location: Seattle Area, Washington State, USA, Earth
  • Who are you? An Educator and Artist.
  • What’s your day job? I teach middle school Art.
  • What are your hobbies? Desk top publishing, web design, collage, mail art, gardening, playing with my pets and putzing around my house. I have been creating art since my earliest days as a child. Creativity is in my blood, and I would stagnate horribly if I didn’t keep art in my life. As a result, I have surrounded myself with many wonderfully gifted and artistic people.
  • What Art do you do? I have found MANY outlets for my creative gifts and energies. They include Artistamps; collage and drawing; domestic type things like sewing, cooking and gardening; and most recently technological things like web design and desktop/newsletter publishing.
  • Relationship? yes, long-term live-in boyfriend, a mail-order teenage kid (he joined us in June 2006), a large dog and two cats. Not to mention a tight-knit group of family and friends.
  • Dog and CATS?? The newest addition to the house (November 1, 2003) is Charger. He is a 5 year old St. Bernard and German Shepherd mix. The cats are adjusting.

Personal Mission Statement

As a woman and as an educator,
I have been called to share my passion
for life-long learning with all the children and adults in my environments.

I have been called to
Show respect,
Offer truth,
Share Joy,
Give and receive love,
and to build up the broken down.

I commit to keeping myself
Healthy in
Mind, Body and Spirit.

I open myself to the ability and opportunity
as well as the need for growth.

E-mail me if you have any questions. Please feel free to contact me if you would like to trade links with my site, or if you would like to share artistic trades and inspiration.

Thanks and ENJOY!
